The US wants to "to see Russia weakened," US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said at a news conference in Poland Monday following his and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's trip to Kiev.
Washington finally stopped pretending and revealed its true purpose. Washington's primary intent of provoking the Russia-Ukraine conflict has been to weaken Russia, which has been widely recognized by the international community. Moscow is fed up with Washington's attempts. Speaking on Monday at a meeting with top officials at the Prosecutor General's office, Russian President Vladimir Putin charged that the US and its allies have sought to "split Russian society and destroy Russia from within."
An article in The New York Times believes that the essence of the Russia-Ukraine conflicts has changed, transforming "from a battle over control of Ukraine to one that pits Washington more directly against Moscow."

Russian energy firm Gazprom has told Poland and Bulgaria it will stop sending gas to the two countries from Wednesday.
Polish state gas company PGNiG said it had been told all gas deliveries would be halted from 08:00 CET (06:00 GMT).
The Bulgarian Energy Ministry also said it had been informed deliveries would be suspended from Wednesday.
It comes after Russia said "unfriendly" countries must start paying for gas in roubles or it would cut supplies.
Both countries have refused to pay in this way.
PGNiG relies on Gazprom for the majority of its gas imports and bought 53% of its imports from the Russian company in the first quarter of this year.

PETALING JAYA: Saifuddin Nasution has defended PKR’s past attempts at wooing MPs from rival parties to support Anwar Ibrahim’s bid to be prime minister, saying it did not amount to an endorsement of party hopping.
The party’s secretary-general said other friendly MPs could provide support for Anwar without the need to switch parties.
“We (the opposition) sought support from other parties as we needed at least 112 MPs to form a government. However, we didn’t ask them to switch parties but merely provide additional support for Anwar (to become prime minister),” he said in an interview with FMT.

US officials’ warning to China-Solomon Islands cooperation a serious provocation, reveals ‘hooliganism’ and ‘bullying’
The US' so-called warning to any permanent "China military presence" in the Solomon Islands was a serious provocation to both China and the South Pacific nation as two sovereign states, fully revealing US "hooliganism" and "bullying" in abducting South Pacific nations into its anti-China chariot, Chinese analysts said on Saturday, following the US delegation's visit to the region.
The US is attaching greater strategic importance to South Pacific nations amid China-US competition, and the region is not only a significant part of the US' Indo-Pacific Strategy but also serves as a key anti-China frontline after the US loses its "first island chain," Chinese analysts said, urging regional countries to be alert to US motives.

PONTIAN – Indonesia’s move to ban exports of its palm oil starting Thursday next week is expected to have a massive impact on the global edible oils and fats market.
Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister II Datuk Seri Wee Jeck Seng said the move is expected to boost prices of palm oil and competing oils in the international market since Indonesia is a top producer and exporter of palm oil.
He said last year, Indonesia’s palm oil accounted for 59% and 56% of the world’s palm oil production and exports respectively, adding that Indonesian palm oil exports represented 30% of total global oils and fats exports.
“As such, this drastic step taken by Indonesia will definitely have a massive impact on other countries, especially major palm oil importers such as China, India and the European Union.
