G25 supports Perak ruler’s call for fatwas to consider views of all stakeholders
Posted by: superadmin - 10-04-2020, 01:14 PM - Forum: Local News - No Replies

We the members of G25 Malaysia would like to record our appreciation to the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, for his speech at the recent nationwide convention of fatwa committees, which was held in Sepang, Selangor, on Sept 22. 2020.

It was a well-written and progressive speech in which the ruler advised that fatwas which are formulated should take into account the views of all stakeholders in society. This is because, when fatwas are issued after receiving the royal consent in the respective states, they are expected to be well-received, due to their practical application in the daily lives of every Muslim.

New James Bond movie pushed to April 2021 as coronavirus cases continue to rise
Posted by: superadmin - 10-03-2020, 02:41 PM - Forum: English Movies - No Replies

“No Time to Die,” the James Bond film that was the first Hollywood feature to move on the theatrical caledar due to the coronavirus outbreak, is moving again. This time, it’s got its sights on 2021.

On Friday, MGM Studios announced that Daniel Craig’s latest turn as British spy James Bond would no longer arrive in theaters on Nov. 20. Instead, the film has been postponed to April 2, 2021.

“No Time to Die” is the latest blockbuster to leave the fall movie slate in the wake of the lackluster performance of Warner Bros. “Tenet” at the domestic box office. Some had predicted that the James Bond film may stick around because of its reliance on international ticket sales. Cinemas overseas have seen audiences return in droves while U.S. moviegoers have stayed home.

Fury erupts online over ministry’s move to delay physical student intakes at public u

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 — Malaysians have reacted with anger over the Higher Education Ministry’s sudden “recommendation” for public universities to postpone ongoing student intakes and registrations.

After the ministry issued the “advice” yesterday, upset students pointed out that they have already made travel arrangements to attend their respective universities and were left in a lurch.

Many expressed fears that they would be left stranded again as they had been when the movement control order was first announced in March.

Jin Shin Jyutsu for pain relief
Posted by: superadmin - 10-02-2020, 04:29 PM - Forum: Jin Shin Jytsu Therapy - No Replies

A special energy function

This Jin Shin Jyutsu hold is dynamic first aid for pain relief. There have been many incidents when I have managed and controlled pain just by knowing where to place my hands on the body. It constantly amazes me that such a simple hold can have such a dramatic and speedy effect.

This is because the placement of the hands in this way helps a special energy function that travels throughout the body. It also supports the deep energy in the body so it is wonderfully calming and soothing. Even better is the fact that this energy function helps reduce inflammation in the body. Considering that inflammation is now established to underlie many medical conditions, this is good news.**

Nazri tells Umno to heed grassroots and end ties with PPBM
Posted by: superadmin - 10-02-2020, 10:51 AM - Forum: Local News - No Replies

Political scientist Chandra Muzaffar said it was clear that there were a number of factions in Umno with different views, though all seemed to be “fixated on power and dominance”.

“To me, this is wrong,” he said. “As a party which had power for decades then lost it because it was perceived as being corrupt, it should reflect on what is wrong with the party and try to correct the wrongs.

“This should be the top agenda. But if you look at Umno today, it doesn’t look like anyone wants to do any soul-searching or rectify shortcomings. They continue to support leaders who have questionable track records and jostle for power.”
