We the members of G25 Malaysia would like to record our appreciation to the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, for his speech at the recent nationwide convention of fatwa committees, which was held in Sepang, Selangor, on Sept 22. 2020.

It was a well-written and progressive speech in which the ruler advised that fatwas which are formulated should take into account the views of all stakeholders in society. This is because, when fatwas are issued after receiving the royal consent in the respective states, they are expected to be well-received, due to their practical application in the daily lives of every Muslim.

“No Time to Die,” the James Bond film that was the first Hollywood feature to move on the theatrical caledar due to the coronavirus outbreak, is moving again. This time, it’s got its sights on 2021.

On Friday, MGM Studios announced that Daniel Craig’s latest turn as British spy James Bond would no longer arrive in theaters on Nov. 20. Instead, the film has been postponed to April 2, 2021.

“No Time to Die” is the latest blockbuster to leave the fall movie slate in the wake of the lackluster performance of Warner Bros. “Tenet” at the domestic box office. Some had predicted that the James Bond film may stick around because of its reliance on international ticket sales. Cinemas overseas have seen audiences return in droves while U.S. moviegoers have stayed home.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 — Malaysians have reacted with anger over the Higher Education Ministry’s sudden “recommendation” for public universities to postpone ongoing student intakes and registrations.

After the ministry issued the “advice” yesterday, upset students pointed out that they have already made travel arrangements to attend their respective universities and were left in a lurch.

Many expressed fears that they would be left stranded again as they had been when the movement control order was first announced in March.

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he and first lady Melania Trump had tested positive for Covid-19 and would immediately quarantine and begin the “recovery process”.

“We will get through this,” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s positive test follows news that Hope Hicks, a top adviser and trusted aide, had tested positive for the new coronavirus.
