The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday released a 2,576-word report on US long-arm jurisdiction, a typical US practice that severely harms the international political and economic order and the international rule of law.
Experts said that revealing the truth and facts on the US' failure in governance is important as it helps the international community to get a clearer understanding of US hegemony, its exports of uncertainties, and disruptions to global order.
Entitled The US Willful Practice of Long-arm Jurisdiction and its Perils, the report was unveiled on Friday afternoon by the ministry, and consists of three major parts - an overview of US long-arm jurisdiction, exercise and expansion of US long-arm jurisdiction, and the perils of US long-arm jurisdiction.
The US has a longstanding practice of exerting frequent long-arm jurisdiction over other countries, including both its allies and countries with which it has hostile or strained relations, the report said. In recent years, the practice has kept expanding in scope, with US "arms" stretching longer and longer. Examining the cases of US abuse of long-arm jurisdiction, this report lays bare the severe harm it has done to the international political and economic order and the international rule of law.

Letter to Editor
IT is difficult to speak for the entire non-Bumiputera Generation Z in Malaysia as individuals within this group may have varying opinions and perspectives on the political spectrum. Nevertheless, non-Bumis still hold around 30% of the voters in Malaysia.
This is a huge number and their needs must be met. So, what is their view on the Malaysian political spectrum like?
Many non-Bumi Malaysians may believe that the political spectrum is dominated by a small set of powerful and entrenched political parties.
They may be critical of these parties’ lack of transparency and accountability, leading to them believing that the political process does not genuinely represent the will of the people.
They may also be distrustful of conventional political parties’ promises and rhetoric, viewing them as disconnected from the interests and problems of the broader public. Since non-Bumis are the minorities in our country, their trust is built upon actions, more than words.
In terms of policy, they may support more progressive measures like social justice, human rights, and environmental preservation. They may regard these topics as vital, and they may be critical of political parties that do not take them seriously.

IndigoSwan6963: The Home Ministry has to act (to address the issue of dress code in the police stations). If Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail can't do the job, please resign.
All police personnel must understand the Constitution. Anything that deviates from the standard of respecting each and any individual rights is not acceptable.
Whatever the differences in opinion, they must be carried with due care and respect for one another as these moral sensitivities has to do with all Malaysians, and will affect each and everyone, including law enforcers, so do it with due care.
The police force and all security forces must comprise of all races and all faiths to instil a culture of One Malaysia, instead of race or religious faith; be proactive in addressing issues and concerns; be the transformation instead of conforming to outdated policies.
