Melaka Wanita Bersatu chief quits party

AYER KEROH: Melaka Wanita Bersatu chief Azalina Abdul Rahman has announced her exit from the Muhyiddin Yassin-led party.

At a press conference, Azalina also claimed that Jasin Bersatu was essentially immobilised, with deputy division chief Mustaffar Ahmad and other committee members also quitting the party.

She also claimed that more than 300 Bersatu members in Jasin were following their leaders in quitting the party and that the Wanita leadership in four other divisions in the state were set to follow suit.

She said they decided to quit the party due to the lack of direction. She claimed 30 Bersatu branches were also involved in the apparent mass exodus.
