PAS drops Khairuddin as appointed committee member

PETALING JAYA: Former plantation industries and commodities minister Khairuddin Aman Razali has been dropped as an appointed PAS committee member, less than two months after being reappointed to the role.

Party president Abdul Hadi Awang confirmed the matter today, Utusan Malaysia reported.

“The matter was handled by PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan. Of course, there is a reason (for his dismissal). In the party, there must be discipline.

“Whoever does not follow, he can be transferred – to work someplace else, or suspended or even sacked,” Hadi told reporters after Friday prayers in Marang today.

The decision was made at a PAS meeting held at the party headquarters in Kuala Lumpur recently.
