PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan (PH) gave the nod to leaders in the opposition coalition to speak to their rivals on the current political situation, Lim Guan Eng confirmed.
The DAP secretary-general however said the coalition only barred “the top three leaders from PH” from speaking to their political rivals.
This comes in the wake of media reports that two DAP leaders had spoken to a minister.
“Except for the heads of DAP, PKR and Amanah, many MPs and leaders from PH parties have on their own accord held many discussions on their own with political opponents,” he said in a statement.
Yesterday, Sin Chew Daily reported that two DAP parliamentarians had helped draft proposals that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin had pushed for as he sought to keep his administration intact with the help of the opposition.
Quoting sources, Sin Chew Daily said that the two, Damansara MP Tony Pua and Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming, had worked on it with finance minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz.
