Common Edtiske Extender Setup Problems and Troubleshooting
#1
There are some common issues that users often face setting up their Edtiske extender, but most of them are rectified by simple troubleshooting. Users often fail to establish a connection with the extender's default Wi-Fi network. To troubleshoot the connection issue, check if the extender is plugged in and turned on, and for at least 20 seconds, wait for the LED indicator to stabilize before attempting to join the network. Other problems that could arise are, the web interface not loading after typing 192.168.188.1 in the browser. In this case, try changing your browser or clearing its cache; also, ensure the PC is connected to the extender's network. If WPS fails, check to ensure your main router has WPS enabled and that you pressed both WPS buttons within two minutes of each other. However, best success is had with the manual setup via the web interface. And lastly, poor signals usually emanate from bad placement by the extender, which should be halfway between the router and the area with the weak Wi-Fi signal. These quick hacks will make sure your Edtiske extender setup is smooth and successful.
