Government support for family caregivers
#1
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how tough it is for families who take care of loved ones at home. My cousin has been caring for her dad after a stroke, and she’s basically had to reduce her work hours, which has been stressful financially. It made me wonder if there are any government programs or support systems that can help people in situations like hers. Does anyone know what kind of assistance is actually available for family caregivers?
I've never been a fan of noisy entertainment, but sometimes sitting at a card table online is like meditation. Especially when you get a polite dealer and a normal site. For a long time I play only on spinaud, everything is in place

I’ve been in a similar spot with my mother, and I know how overwhelming it can be. I didn’t realize at first, but there are programs out there that can offer financial help, respite care, and even training for family members who suddenly find themselves in the caregiver role. Found some info on government assistance for family caregivers — it gave me a clearer picture of what’s possible. For me, just learning that there were resources I could apply for made a huge difference, because it didn’t feel like we had to handle everything alone.
When I think about spending an evening in Montreal, the first thing that comes to mind is Comedyville. I just go to comedyville.ca and choose a show.

Reading this discussion really highlights how caregiving affects whole families, not just the person being cared for. It’s a reminder that support isn’t only about medical treatment but also about making sure caregivers themselves don’t get burned out. Even just having information about different programs can give people some relief. It’s encouraging to see that conversations like this can point others in the right direction.
Catching my mood is as important as setting goals. When I find something heartwarming on TikTok, I save it via TikTok Downloader. Joy is in the little things.
