Kind-hearted Malaysians rally to help Ragunathan and family

SUNGAI SIPUT:Eight-year-old Sanjjivan and his younger brothers, Vikneswaran and Logavharma, have a new reason to smile. The once-bare house they called home is now brimming with hope, thanks to the generosity of Malaysians moved by their story.

Last month, FMT Lifestyle highlighted the struggles of their family. Battling eviction, injuries, and poverty, Ragunathan Subramaniam and Krishnavany Rajendran feared for their children’s future.

The heartfelt story of their resilience and the boys’ quiet longing for normalcy touched many. Since the article was published, donations have poured in from kind-hearted Malaysians, with some RM173,980 raised as of Jan 9.

This amount will go a long way towards giving the family a fresh start. The funds will help Ragunathan and Krishnavany purchase proper furniture for their house, including tables, chairs and beds.

For the boys, this means more than just comfort – it’s a chance to live like other children their age. They’ll now have new clothes, toys and books – a luxury they once only dreamed of.
