  KJ’s excuses and denials
Posted by: superadmin - 11-17-2022, 08:23 AM - Forum: Politics - No Replies

A few days ago, Khairy Jamaluddin, the outgoing health minister, expressed a desire to win Sungei Buloh first, before eventually setting his sights on becoming a future prime minister of Malaysia.

Among other things, he claimed that a 2016 scandal at the ministry of youth, involving RM107 million embezzled by a senior official, had been resolved. Was this reported in the news? Has the money been recovered? Most of us are not aware if any one has been punished, or held accountable.

It is all very well saying that the embezzlement started before KJ’s time as minister. What is wrong with giving Malaysians the news they want to hear, instead of shifting the blame, yet again? This scandal, and many others like it, has not been satisfactorily explained to the general public.

In March 2021, when he was the minister of science, technology, and innovation, KJ was voted the best performing minister in the Perikatan National cabinet. His success was gained from a “vaccine boost” when he was in charge of the national immunisation programme.

Would he have scored as highly if there was no coronavirus pandemic?

GOMBAK: A PKR leader claims that the party’s former deputy president Azmin Ali had lobbied for the Selangor menteri besar post after Pakatan Harapan won the 2018 general election.

At a PH ceramah here tonight, PKR vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said Azmin was afraid that he would be given a federal minister’s post in a “junior” ministry after PH won the election.

Malay professors endorse Anwar for PM
Posted by: superadmin - 11-16-2022, 06:33 PM - Forum: Politics - No Replies

PETALING JAYA: A group of 70 Malay professors (G70) has endorsed PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as the next prime minister, citing his track record and credibility.

“Anwar has the experience and integrity to lead a multiracial society and improve the image of Malaysia globally,” G70 spokesman Wan Ramli Wan Daud said.

Ramli also said that Anwar and Pakatan Harapan (PH) would be able to overcome the current economic crisis, while upholding the position of Islam as well as looking after the welfare of the Malays and Bumiputeras.

The group also urged Malaysians to back candidates who had the nation and the people’s well-being in mind.

“We urge Malaysians to reject candidates from parties that betrayed democracy,” Ramli said, alluding to the Sheraton Move which led to the collapse of the PH government in 2020.

Voters, he also said, should reject those who entered politics for personal gain.

“Will there be a dawn of a new era on Nov 19 or will we fade more into oblivion?”
Posted by: superadmin - 11-16-2022, 10:51 AM - Forum: Politics - No Replies

STAY out of jail card for some. If this happens, Bursa Malaysia is likely to see a sell down the following week.

Those who are planning for new schemes to steal tax payers’ monies or are in the process of doing so but ceased due to the 15th General Election (GE15) and those who have benefitted previously will be having their celebratory gathering close to midnight on that day for the expected windfall that will follow.

Lifelong ambition of one man realised. Will Bursa Malaysia benefit from this or the stock market reaction will be muted?

Losers on Nov 19 will go back to the drawing board to hatch sinister schemes on how to stage another “Sheraton Move”.

Lies will be created to spread hatred and fears again on contention that winners on Nov 19 will start carrying out measures to minimise or marginalise their communities.

PETALING JAYA: It is unlikely that Barisan Nasional chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will become the prime minister, a high-level Umno leader said.

The source said this was because of his corruption trial and the awkward situation if his name was put forward to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for consideration.

The prime minister’s appointment after GE15 – Tommy Thomas
Posted by: superadmin - 11-15-2022, 09:20 PM - Forum: Politics - No Replies

[Image: 03102022_-_Jelajah_Rakyat_PKR_Bandar_Sri...TIF_01.JPG]

THE consensus among poll-watchers is that it will be a close outcome after the ballots are counted and results announced this weekend: a finish too close to call.

But what happens if none of the coalitions crosses the magic line of 112 seats? How would the new prime minister be appointed?

The critical point to keep in mind is that the new prime minister must represent the popular will. He must enjoy the mandate of voters who just expressed their choice in the ballot box.

The legal position is clear.

Article 43(2)(a) of the federal constitution provides that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall first appoint a prime minister who is a Dewan Rakyat member, “who in his judgement is likely to command the confidence of the majority of the members of the Dewan”.

KUALA LUMPUR – Jailed former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his entourage comprising family members spent US$259,724 at the Trump Hotel in Washington D.C., with the Malaysian leader splashing US$10,000 per night on the presidential suite, documents by accounting firm Mazars USA LLP showed.

The US House Committee on Oversight and Reform, which released the documents yesterday, made note of the fact Najib’s stay at the hotel owned by former US president Donald Trump was from September 7 to 15, 2017, during which time Najib was publicly under investigation by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) over funds stolen and laundered from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) through US financial institutions.

“Prime Minister (Najib) Razak stayed in the hotel’s presidential suite for $10,000 per night, spending $44,562 over three days.

100L single-layer glass reactor working principle and operating instructions
Posted by: zzkdinstruments - 11-15-2022, 05:16 PM - Forum: Technology - No Replies

The 100L single-layer glass reactor is easy to use and easy to operate. It can be moved, operated, cleaned, installed and disassembled by one person, and can perform various stirring reactions. Due to its convenient use, safety and quickness, the reaction kettle is widely used in many fields such as modern chemical industry, biopharmaceuticals, new material synthesis and so on. The reactor is designed with high borosilicate glass, which has excellent physical and chemical properties.
The working principle of the 100L single-layer glass reactor: The single-layer glass reactor directly heats the reactor body through a layer of silver film heating plate, so that the materials in the reactor can be kept at a constant temperature and can be stirred. The material is reacted in the reactor, and the evaporation and reflux of the reaction solution can be controlled. The reaction material is put in the reaction kettle, and the stirring reaction can be done by vacuuming; the external water (oil) bath can be heated by adding water or heating oil; and can control the evaporation and reflux of the reaction solution, constant pressure feeding and other functions. Optional refrigeration components, with refrigeration source for low temperature reaction
100L single-layer glass reactor installation and operation instructions Notes:
1. The power connection must meet the power requirements of this product, and must have a reliable grounding to ensure that the shell of this product has a safe grounding. Glass instruments should avoid impact during transportation, disassembly, cleaning and use. After unpacking, you should first check whether there is any damage. If you find any damage, immediately contact the relevant departments to find out the reasons and negotiate remedies. The company shall not be liable for any damages caused by product defects due to the fault of sales, storage, transportation, assembly and users.
2. For the precious solution, a simulated process experiment should be done first, and when it is confirmed that the equipment can meet the process requirements, it will be transferred to normal use.
3. When evaporating easy, explosive and toxic solutions, users must take corresponding safety protection measures and abide by relevant safety operation regulations.
4. Prevent the electrical parts from being immersed in water and leaking electricity. When installing the conduit (rubber) on the glass parts, the rotating assembly method should be adopted, and the pressing method is prohibited to damage the glass parts.
5. Before the experiment, a simulation plan should be drawn up, and the experiment should be carried out step by step according to the plan. The equipment should be sealed and tested, and then the program test should be carried out after confirmation. The sample should be added slowly when feeding. Pay attention to the reaction state of the material during the experiment. Emergency measures should be taken when necessary. When shutting down, first turn off the vacuum source and low temperature heat source, and then turn off the power supply. Release the vacuum to restore the equipment to normal pressure. Release experimental materials by variety. Clean the equipment for the next use.

After 2 years, PAS emerges as ‘true power’ in PN
Posted by: superadmin - 11-15-2022, 02:50 PM - Forum: Politics - No Replies

[Image: Muhyiddin-Yassin_Abdul-Hadi-Awang_PN-2782022-12.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin will not be able to stop Perikatan Nasional ally PAS from working with Umno and Barisan Nasional after the general election, says an analyst.

“The real power in PN has emerged. It’s PAS,” Council of Professors fellow Jeniri Amir told FMT.

“Muhyiddin is in no position to dictate what PAS can or cannot do. He has no bargaining power. Bersatu just has to follow what PAS wants.”

He was commenting on Muhyiddin’s statement that PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan has no authority to hold discussions with BN about forming the government with PN after GE15.
