GEORGE TOWN – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reminded the people that the majority of underlying problems afflicting them today were not created by his administration.

“Given the time, we will resolve the issues…but we must point out that the issues were inherited,” he said.

From dividing the country through race and religion to economic issues coupled with rising living costs and corruption, Anwar pointed out that such major issues are long-standing ones.

Addressing some 5,000 students and staffers at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Anwar told the young undergraduates that it will soon be their time to fight the wrongs and relics of corruption left over by the previous administration.

He urged the youth to read more books so they can make informed choices and cannot be easily manipulated.
