When did we betray Malays, Anwar asks critics

SHAH ALAM: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has challenged critics to explain how exactly his government had betrayed and denied the rights of Malays since taking power.

Anwar said there was little point in taunting his government with accusations of being “traitors” and “cruel”.

“Since we have been in power, give us one example where we have betrayed the Malays, denied their rights and betrayed Islam. There is none. It’s just propaganda,” he declared.

Anwar, who is PKR president, was making the winding-up speech at PKR’s special national congress today.

He asked critics of his government to provide examples and suggestions for how the government could improve.
