Outcome of probe into judge Nazlan to be revealed, says source

PETALING JAYA: The outcome of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s probe into Court of Appeal judge Nazlan Ghazali will be revealed in Parliament, says a source in the know.

Last week, two MPs, Barisan Nasional’s Manndzri Nasib (Tenggara) and Perikatan Nasional’s Wan Saiful Wan Jan (Tasek Gelugor), urged law and institutional reform minister Azalina Othman Said to reveal the outcome of the anti-graft agency’s probe into Nazlan.

“MACC has given its answer to Parliament and Azalina is expected to reply in the Dewan Rakyat today or tomorrow,” said the source who declined to be named.

Last September, MACC chief Azam Baki said the investigation into Nazlan has been completed, but further details cannot be divulged.

Azam said he was not at liberty to disclose the Attorney-General’s Chambers’ (AGC) instructions.
