PETALING JAYA: Civil servants should lodge police reports if they were a target of false claims made on the Public Complaints Bureau’s website, says Cuepacs, the umbrella body of civil service unions.

Cuepacs secretary-general Abdul Rahman Nordin said action can be taken against those who filed false complaints.

“If there is proof, especially from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), it will be even better. They can file a suit against those who lodged the false complaints” he told FMT.

Yesterday, FMT reported on a civil servant who fell victim to a barrage of false complaints.

It was learnt that a group of women in their 20s were targeting civil servants by making false complaints through the public complaints management system.
