We won’t do a Sheraton Move, says BN MP

PETALING JAYA: A Barisan Nasional MP has rejected a Bersatu leader’s claim that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s government is under constant threat of internal sabotage and is therefore unstable.

Shamsulkahar Deli, the Jempol MP, said there would be no repeat of the Sheraton Move as BN would not undermine a government it was part of.

The Sheraton Move refers to the political manoeuvre in 2020 that saw some MPs from Bersatu and PKR joining forces with those from BN and PAS. It led to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.
