US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to visit Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia — report

BENGALURU (July 19): Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the US House of Representatives, plans to visit Taiwan next month, amid tension with China, the Financial Times said on Tuesday, citing six people familiar with the matter.

Pelosi and her delegation will also visit Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan, and spend time in Hawaii at the headquarters of US Indo-Pacific command, the paper added.

Her office and the US State Department did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. Taiwan's Foreign Ministry said it has "not received relevant information" about any visit.
