Umno MP slams his deputy president over push for GE15

KUALA LUMPUR: Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman today went after Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan for asking Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to call for the next general election (GE15) immediately.

While debating the King’s address in the Dewan Rakyat today, the Umno MP said he regretted that his party’s senior leader had released such a statement.

He said Mohamad was “pushing” the prime minister to call for the next general election immediately at a time when his government was in a stable condition due to the agreement signed with Pakatan Harapan last year.

“He (Mohamad) has issued an ultimatum that if the prime minister failed to convince the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to call for GE15 immediately, then he has to resign.
