PETALING JAYA: About “99.9%” of PAS grassroots are said to be pleased with the decision to drop former minister Khairuddin Aman Razali from its central committee, party president Abdul Hadi Awang said.
He said there was no need for PAS to elaborate on the matter or issue an official statement, despite calls to do so, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Hadi said it was clear that Khairuddin’s ouster was linked to disciplinary issues and was an internal matter that need not be publicised.
“There’s no need (for an official explanation), such opinions calling for an explanation to be provided are isolated, and I was informed that 99.9% of the grassroots were pleased,” the Malay daily quoted him as saying.
