PETALING: DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has questioned whether Malaysia’s special ambassadors have submitted their 100-day report cards.

Lim, the Iskandar Puteri MP, said the special ambassadors are paid by public funds and the people have a right to know how they have performed.

“Can the four special envoys – Abdul Hadi Awang, Tiong King Sing, Richard Riot and SA Vigneswaran – produce their 100-day report cards? If not, what are they useful for?” he asked in a statement today.

Hadi is the special envoy to the Middle East, Tiong to China, Riot to Japan, Korea and Taiwan, and Vigneswaran to India and South Asia.

Lim said he had previously asked whether Hadi had been banned from Saudi Arabia and had never visited the country since his appointment in April 2020, but no answer had been forthcoming.
