Reformasi needed in rural S’wak to stop decades of oppression, injustice: Anwar

MIRI – National opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is bringing the PKR “reformasi” war cry into rural Sarawak to stop what he said are decades of oppression and injustice by the state regime.

The PKR president went to the Lambir constituency last night, and told Malaysians in longhouses and villages there that they must stand up for their rights.

“The land you live on has abundant natural resources like rich forest products, oil and gas, and mineral resources,” he said.

“However, all this wealth is being taken away by those in power, by the rich towkays and powerful politicians. They turn forests into timber camps, they take away all your wealth.
