PH to field ex-CM Idris and Nor Azman in Melaka

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan (PH) will field two of the four assemblymen whose defections triggered the collapse of the Melaka state government.

At a press conference today, PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim announced the coalition would contest all 28 state seats up for grabs in the Nov 20 election and revealed its list of candidates.

The candidates include former Umno duo, Idris Haron and Nor Azman Hassan.

Machap Jaya incumbent Ginie Lim, said to be linked to former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, has been dropped.

Anwar, the PKR president, was joined at the press conference by his Amanah counterpart, Mohamad Sabu. No top DAP leader could be seen there.
