KUALA LUMPUR: Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Independent-Muar) has urged Putrajaya to look into approving hemp and medical marijuana farming here in Malaysia, pointing to its economic and health benefits.

The former youth and sports minister told the Dewan Rakyat today that the current hemp and medical marijuana market was worth RM60 billion and was expected to breach the RM400 billion mark in four years’ time.

“I don’t want Malaysia to be left behind on the matter just because the issue is sensitive, when studies based on data and science have shown that industries like alcoholic drinks and cigarettes are more dangerous,” he said.

He added that this was not a new issue as the Pakatan Harapan government had conducted studies and discussions on the matter, based on scientific facts.

It's pretty amazing how the hemp and medical marijuana market has been booming, and the potential for its growth is enormous.

It's interesting how some industries with known health risks are allowed while others with potential benefits are considered sensitive. It's good to see that they've been studying this for a while now. Let's hope Malaysia considers these possibilities for the future. And speaking of which, have you come across any innovative cannabis devices lately?

Syed Saddiq's proposal regarding hemp and medical marijuana farming in Malaysia remains a thought-provoking topic. The economic and health benefits associated with these industries have continued to gain attention worldwide.
While discussions about these topics might have been ongoing for some time, revisiting them can be essential as the landscape of medicinal and agricultural practices evolves. It will be interesting to see how Malaysia navigates these discussions and whether there are any developments in this regard.
If you're keen on exploring related topics further, I came across an article about CBD that could provide additional insights: https://www.trythecbd.com/products/delta-9-thc-gummies/. It might offer a broader context for these discussions.
