KOTA KINABALU: Four opposition parties have issued a joint statement rejecting the offer of a bipartisan political cooperation by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin earlier today.

Warisan, MUDA, Upko and Parti Sarawak Bersatu said they “strongly” reject Muhyiddin’s overtures, saying the opposition parties had from last year proposed the Confidence and Supply Agreement in order to stabilise the government.

“Despite Muhyiddin becoming the prime minister and forming a government through the back door, we were prepared to compromise for the benefit and welfare of the people.

“But he was vain and rejected all that the opposition offered,” they said.
