Record high 15,573 Covid-19 cases, Selangor has almost half the infections

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported a record high 15,573 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

This is more than 2,000 higher than the previous record of 13,215 infections on July 15.

In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 980,491.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 7,672.

Kuala Lumpur also registered a record high 2,063 cases followed by Kedah (937), Johor (722), Negeri Sembilan (682), Penang (530), Sabah (516), Sarawak (461), Pahang (457), Melaka (452), Perak (415), Kelantan (372), Terengganu (229), Putrajaya (41), Labuan (21) and Perlis (3).
