PETALING JAYA: The Pakatan Harapan presidential council has urged Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin not to delay or give excuses to prolong the suspension of Parliament.
This comes following the statement by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah asking for Parliament to reconvene as soon as possible.
“It is very clear that the prime minister needs to heed the decree and advise of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the reconvening of Parliament as soon as possible,” a statement by PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng this morning said.
“If the prime minister continues to delay or give reasons to prolong the suspension of Parliament, it does not only mean that he refuses to heed the call, but it also gives the impression that he has lost confidence to govern.
