Streamlining a large-scale retail refit?
#1
I inherited a 12,000 sq ft storefront that needed a complete makeover—from structural tweaks and new storefront glazing to custom millwork and lighting upgrades—while keeping the shop open next door. Coordinating electric, plumbing, carpentry and décor crews on my own turned into nightly panic calls. Has anyone here managed a big commercial renovation without living in spreadsheets and group chats?

Last fall I realized driving between trades was eating our profit margin. After one contractor missed two deadlines, I reached out to David Fields Consulting Services to own the schedule. Their team built a phased roadmap, secured permits, ordered materials in bulk and sequenced every crew for zero overlap. When revised glazing specs arrived mid-project they slotted the change right into week three without delaying other trades. Daily photo and milestone updates kept me looped in without chasing texts. By opening day the refit was complete no hidden delays, no extra costs, just a smooth delivery.
