Can’t sleep at night anymore – what really helps? ?
#1
Lately, I’ve been struggling to fall asleep at night and it’s driving me a little crazy. ? I don’t feel particularly stressed, but once I’m in bed, my mind just won’t shut up. I’ve tried soft music, guided meditations, even counting sheep like in cartoons – nothing helps. Sometimes I lie awake for hours and then feel totally drained the next day. Does anyone else go through this? I’d love to hear what genuinely helps you fall asleep. Maybe there’s something I haven’t tried yet. ?

Oh yes, I’ve definitely been there. For me, what helped most was creating a strict bedtime ritual. I take a warm shower, avoid screens for an hour before bed, and keep my room as dark as possible. Also, I started writing in a journal before sleeping just to unload thoughts. Not a miracle cure, but it improved things a lot over time.

I had a similar experience a few months ago and tried everything from apps to breathing exercises. What finally worked for me was understanding the science behind sleep sounds. I found this blog post that explains why rain and ocean sounds are effective — something just clicked after I read it. I started playing ocean waves at low volume while falling asleep, and I’ve honestly been sleeping like a baby since then. Maybe it’ll help you too: https://tinytunes.app/2025/06/12/the-psy...aves-work/

Thank you all so much for your tips I tried the ocean sounds last night after reading that article, and wow — I actually fell asleep in under 30 minutes, which hasn’t happened in ages! Gonna keep experimenting, but this already feels like a win.
