New Ampang PKR chief found guilty of vote-buying, fresh polls next week
KUALA LUMPUR – The Ampang PKR branch will hold a re-election next week after its newly minted division chief, Daing Muhammad Reduan Bachok was found to have engaged in vote-buying.
In a letter sighted by The Malaysian Insight, addressed to Daing from PKR election committee chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa, he was informed that his win was revoked following investigations into apparent money politics during the campaigning period.
“The committee upholds the findings of the panel that you should be deprived of your candidacy for the post of branch head,” Dr Zaliha wrote.
