The Importance of Diversity in Modern Cinema
#4
Moss was, in the cutthroat world of racing, as notable for his sense of sportsmanship as for his instinctive connection to the cars he drove. One of the most notable incidents illustrating this streak came in 1958, when his defense of rival Mike Hawthorn (to whom he had shouted advice to link perform a maneuver which threatened Hawthorn with a penalty) at the Portuguese Grand Prix led to Hawthorn defeating Moss for the season's Driver's Championship by just a single point.
