After the fall of the Mughal Empire, the Red Fort came under British control in 1857 following the First War of Independence. The British made several changes to the fort’s structure, demolishing some buildings and repurposing others for military use. The fort lost much of its original splendor during this period, and its cultural significance was overshadowed by its strategic utility. Red Fort Delhi
