PKR woman lodges report over Kedah MB’s billion-ringgit project

PETALING JAYA: A PKR member has lodged a police report against Kedah menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor over the award of a billion-ringgit tourism-related project in Langkawi to a company linked to a bankrupt.

In her police report, Sungai Siput PKR member Indrani Selvakumar alleged that a key figure in the company awarded the project was bankrupt and has been for several years.

She said this was based on a search she carried out with the insolvency department.

“Sanusi needs to clarify how a project worth over RM1 billion can go to a company where a key figure has been declared a bankrupt?” she asked.

“Did he do any background checks?” she asked, demanding that Sanusi clarify the matter.
