I just got back from a short trip and found that 4 star hotels in Singapore offer a really good balance between comfort and price. Some even had breakfast included and were close to MRT stations, which saved me a lot on transport. I booked through the anchor you shared and it was smoother than I expected, especially for last-minute plans.
