What File System is for Mac OS?
#2
I know Macs use APFS (Apple File System) by default, but older models may have HFS+. For the most part, this isn't something to worry about, but if you're setting up an external drive or sharing files, the format can make a difference. If you ever need to organize your storage or use different formats, you can easily do so with the information in the article at https://setapp.com/how-to/partition-a-hard-drive-on-mac which I used myself. Partitioning your hard drive can help you separate your work files from your personal files or even set up a different system. It's also handy if you're running low on disk space and need to manage it better.
