Legal Types of Knives
Folding Knives (Pocket Knives):
Legality: Folding knives, including traditional pocket knives, are generally legal in California. They can be carried both openly and concealed as long as they remain in the folded position.
Restrictions: If a folding knife is in the open, locked position, it is considered a fixed-blade knife and cannot be concealed on your person.
