As a student learning through APDM in Malaysia, I appreciate the Higher Education Malaysia Association's (Heya) call for a more inclusive quota system in higher education institutions. It's essential to move beyond race-based approaches and consider factors like economic capital and social capital. This holistic approach ensures that students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds have equal opportunities to access higher education. By prioritizing equity and inclusion, we can create a more balanced and fair educational environment for all students in Malaysia.
