Over 26,000 votes went missing in PKR polls, claims Farhash
[Image: pemilihan-pkr-bernama-230522.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: A former aide to Anwar Ibrahim has again questioned discrepancies in the recently concluded PKR polls, claiming that some votes went “missing”, especially in the race for the deputy presidency.

Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak said it had been reported that 147,000 PKR members had taken part in the party polls.

Rafizi Ramli garnered 68,992 votes, while Saifuddin Nasution Ismail managed to get 50,038 votes. This totalled only 119,030 votes, he said.

Afdlin says 222 ballot papers missing in PKR divisional race
[Image: afdlin-shauki-report-polis-060622.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: Actor-director Afdlin Shauki has claimed that ballot papers were missing when votes were counted at the PKR Setiawangsa division during the party elections last month.

He said the number of physical votes amounted to 750, but only 528 appeared on the election committee’s system.

“There was a significant difference with 222 votes lost just like that,” he said after filing a police report against the PKR election committee yesterday.
Afdlin claimed that the counting of ballot papers was done without the candidates’ representatives present.

He also alleged that the committee had appointed the former PKR Setiawangsa secretary as the polling station coordinator and allowed the husband of one of the candidates to work in the polling station during election day.

Azmin Ali: Return of the prodigal son? Not a chance, say PKR leaders
[Image: 18092021_-_azmin_ali-kemensah-_Landslide_-_13.jpg]

KUALA LUMPUR – The rumour mill has been ever-churning about the possible return of Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to PKR, a party that remains spurned by his betrayal during the infamous Sheraton Move.

Yet this has not stopped PKR “emissaries” from meeting with its former deputy president recently for unknown reasons, which draws more speculation about Azmin’s overall potential to the party.

One possible avenue of interest is Azmin’s ability to neutralise the party’s newly minted deputy president and his long-time nemesis, Rafizi Ramli.

While the party’s recently concluded elections have given a clear indication that change is needed within its internal structure, there are many who are supposedly jittery about Rafizi’s control over PKR.

A senior party leader said there are some within the party who fear Rafizi’s supposed headstrong methods could cause a further rift within an already battered PKR.

KUALA LUMPUR – The Ampang PKR branch will hold a re-election next week after its newly minted division chief, Daing Muhammad Reduan Bachok was found to have engaged in vote-buying.

In a letter sighted by The Malaysian Insight, addressed to Daing from PKR election committee chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa, he was informed that his win was revoked following investigations into apparent money politics during the campaigning period.

“The committee upholds the findings of the panel that you should be deprived of your candidacy for the post of branch head,” Dr Zaliha wrote.

Hans-ups Altimet by two votes in Ampang PKR re-election: unofficial
[Image: 20220512_hans_isaac_Kita_Budak_Ampang_fb.jpg]

KUALA LUMPUR – The race for Ampang PKR chief went truly down to the wire as Datuk Hans Isaac edged fellow celebrity Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman, or Altimet, by a meagre two votes in the re-election, unofficial result shows.

According to the PKR election website, Hans managed to garner 748 votes to Altimet’s 746.

However, the official results are only expected to be announced within the next couple of days, with a number of dubious votes yet to be accounted for by the election committee.

Speaking to The Vibes, Hans expressed his gratitude towards those in Ampang who voted for him, indicating their support for the vision that he and his team have for the constituency.

“Obviously, we also want to work with everybody in Ampang, even the other candidates who did not make the winning list,” the celebrity said.

Hans Isaac didn’t use money to win Ampang PKR chief’s post, says aide
[Image: FMT-HANS-ISAAC-INTERVIEW-07.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: Actor-producer Hans Isaac has denied using money politics to win votes in the race for the Ampang PKR division chief’s post.

An aide from his office, Nadhirah Farhanah, said a claim against the former Finas chairman alleging that he had resorted to such tactics was an attempt to “ruin his good name and reputation in his political career”.

“Hans Isaac has never practised money politics to win over voters. He and his team have always acted professionally and with integrity,” she said in a statement.

She added that Isaac would be issuing a statement to PKR’s election committee on the “baseless” accusation to clear his name.

Minor changes in PKR election results after forensic audit
[Image: pemilihan-pkr-bernama-230522.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: PKR’s election committee (JPP) says there are only a few changes in the outcome of the party’s election results following a forensic audit on the results of the polls.

JPP chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the audit found that there were attempts to hack the PKR election results, adding that the experts involved in the audit had recommended the party update its voting records.

However, she said the attempts to manipulate the results did not affect most of the winning candidates, be it at the central leadership or division level.

Ignore ‘noise’ from losers, let’s get on with work, says Rafizi
[Image: 05-RAFIZI-RAMLI.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: PKR’s incoming deputy president Rafizi Ramli has urged the party to ignore the “noise” made by those who lost in the recent party elections.
Stating that it was unfortunate that those who lost could not accept their defeat and instead, kept on pressuring party president Anwar Ibrahim to call for a re-election or forensic audit, Rafizi said they should instead work towards regaining the public’s trust in the party.

Rafizi said those who lost in the party elections wanted to create the perception that his victory was due to manipulation.

“The party will be caught up in the political games of certain individuals despite the fact that the majority of PKR members have accepted the results,” he said in a statement.

Rafizi standing in the way of ‘truth’, says Farhash on PKR polls
[Image: 05-FARHASH-WAFA-SALVADOR.jpg]

PETALING JAYA: PKR’s Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has hit back at Rafizi Ramli over the recent party polls after the former Pandan MP urged members to ignore the “noise” made by defeated candidates.

Earlier, Rafizi, the incoming PKR deputy president, said it was unfortunate that those who lost could not accept their defeat and continued to pressure PKR president Anwar Ibrahim to call for a re-election.

Rafizi claimed that those who lost, most notably Anwar’s former aide Farhash, were questioning the election results to prevent them from being certified at the party’s upcoming national congress.
