Hadi’s remarks on govt takeover misunderstood, says Muhyiddin - superadmin - 03-13-2023 KUALA LUMPUR: Remarks by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang about an impending government collapse were misconstrued as a call for a revolution, Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said today. He said there were no plans for a revolution to change the government, and gave the assurance that the coalition would never do anything that was against the Federal Constitution. Muhyiddin said Hadi’s prediction that the government would collapse by itself was misunderstood. “(Some misconstrued the remarks) as though meaning a revolution will be held. No such thing. This is a democracy and we will defend our democratic system,” said Muhyiddin in his closing speech at Bersatu’s annual general assembly. - More -
