Can A Monitor Work Without A CPU - charlotteava63 - 10-20-2022

A monitor cannot work without a CPU. The CPU is responsible for sending the signal to the monitor.
The monitor takes the signal and displays it. The monitor will not display anything if the CPU is not sending a signal.
A monitor is a type of computer peripheral that displays images generated by the video card.
A CPU is not necessary for a monitor to work because the video card is responsible for generating the images. The video signals are sent from the video card to the monitor through a cable. Most monitors these days are designed to work with a CPU and will not work without one.

A monitor cannot work without a processor because it only displays the image generated by a computer, laptop, or another device. The processor (together with the graphics card) creates the signal, and the monitor shows it. If there’s no connection, the screen will display “No signal.” The only exception is smart monitors or smart TVs, which have a built-in processor and can work independently (show menus, YouTube, etc.). In a regular PC, the system unit (processor) performs all calculations, while the monitor is only a device for displaying information.

That’s a good explanation! You’re right — the monitor itself just displays whatever signal it receives, but it still needs something like a CPU (through the video card) Slope Rider to actually generate and send that signal. So without a working CPU or GPU, there’s nothing for the monitor to show.
