PUTRAJAYA – A new concept based on the Malay and Islamic agenda led by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be established.
At a “solat hajat” and “doa selamat” prayer ceremony here last night, Dr Mahathir, who is also Pejuang chairman, hinted at the establishment of the idea in an effort to reunite the Malays in the struggle to defend Malaysia.
“This is a Malay-Muslim group. The move is necessary if we want to save our country, our nation, our religion,” he said. - More -

PETALING JAYA: Anwar Ibrahim has said he will not back a new Malay-only coalition set up by his former mentor, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as a more multiracial approach is needed to resolve the country’s woes.
Speaking to reporters at the Parliament lobby, Anwar said the country needed good leadership comprising all Malaysians and not just Malays to ensure good governance. I DON’T go to malls often but unlike Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, I have never felt that any of the malls I go to had a “Are we in China” vibe that the twice former premier claimed the mall he visited had.
In a recent post on the X platform, Dr Mahathir said he felt like he was in China after he visited one of the new shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur over the past weekend, alluding to the fact that ”all the signboards are in Chinese with English translations”. As far as I am aware, malls in KL today give pretty the same vibe that they have been giving for the last 20-30 years. - More - |
