Special Rulers’ meeting on Friday to discuss new govt - superadmin - 08-18-2021 KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, will convene a special meeting with the Malay Rulers on Friday to discuss the formation of a new government and the appointment of a new prime minister. Comptroller of the Royal Household Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin confirmed the matter with Berita Harian. He said Istana Negara would come out with a statement today. Yesterday, party chiefs from PKR, DAP, Amanah, Umno, PAS and Pejuang had a two-hour audience with the King and his deputy, the Sultan of Perak. The audience came after Muhyiddin Yassin resigned as the prime minister on Monday. - More -
