Confused About Snap Orbit Order How Exactly Does It Work? - dobag - 11-27-2025

Hello everyone.

I’m trying to understand how snap orbit order functions in practical use, but I keep finding conflicting explanations. Some sources suggest it’s a way to automatically align or snap objects into a predefined orbital pattern, while others describe it as a sequencing rule that determines how elements shift when the orbit changes.

Could anyone clarify what the intended behavior actually is? In particular, I’d like to know when snap orbit order is applied, how it affects existing placements, and whether it can be customized.

Any examples or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

It’s the system that controls how objects arrange themselves around a central point when snapping is enabled. When you move or add an object, snap orbit order determines the position it takes in the orbit and how existing objects shift to keep everything evenly spaced or symmetrical. It activates whenever an object enters the snap zone or when snapping features are turned on. In many tools, you can customize things like spacing, rotation direction, or priority rules. In simple terms, it keeps orbital layouts organized automatically without needing to manually adjust each item.
