You're absolutely right—sticky traps and a top layer of sand or gravel are great, low-cost ways to combat fungus gnats. The sand/gravel trick works especially well by drying out the top layer of soil where gnats like to lay eggs. Bonus points for being gnat-unfriendly and aesthetically pleasing. avatar world mod apk

k1. Avoid Overwatering: Fungus gnats love water. So, don’t overwater the plants as it dampens the plant soil and makes way for their infestation.
2. Keep the Soil Dry: Larvae cannot grow in dry soil. So, let the soil of your plants dry.

These are microscopic roundworms that prey on the larvae of fungus gnats in the soil. They are completely safe for plants, pets, and humans. You can find them at garden supply stores.

Wow, these are some really helpful tips for dealing with fungus gnats! The idea of using sticky traps and a sand layer sounds very practical. I agree that avoiding overwatering is key. If anyone has tried using nematodes, please share your experience — it would be great to learn from it!
