SHAH ALAM: Businessman Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad has claimed trial to two more charges of accepting bribes totalling RM4.1 million in relation to the Jana Wibawa programme.

The Segambut Bersatu deputy chief pleaded not guilty at the sessions court here today after the charges were read to him before judge Rozilah Salleh.

Adam Radlan is accused of accepting a RM2 million bribe through the bank account of Bayu Bumiraya Sdn Bhd, in which he is a director, from Lian Tan Chuan.

The bribe is said to be a kickback for him to help Nepturis Sdn Bhd obtain the contract to build the Klang Utara police headquarters from Putrajaya, a project worth RM141 million.

The offence allegedly took place between April 2022 and January 2023 at the Bukit Jalan Universiti CIMB Bank branch in Petaling Jaya.

Adam Radlan is also accused of accepting another RM2.1 million bribe through Bayu Bumiraya’s accounts from Mat Jusoh Mamat, managing director of MIE Infrastructure & Energy Sdn Bhd, to help the firm obtain a road project in Perlis worth RM47.8 million.

The offence allegedly took place between November 2021 and  December 2022 at the same CIMB branch.
