PETALING JAYA: Police have initiated an investigation into a PAS leader’s remark that voters would “go to hell” if they voted for Barisan Nasional (BN) or Pakatan Harapan (PH) instead of Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the general election.

The matter is being probed under Section 504 of the Penal Code which involves intentional insult to cause provocation and disrupt public peace, China Press reported.

Bukit Aman’s GE15 operations director Hazani Ghazali said no one has been arrested so far.

Sik PAS Youth chief Shahiful Nasir had apologised over his remarks made in a ceramah, admitting he made a mistake and that his statement had offended many.
