KUALA LUMPUR – Liz Truss today announced her resignation as the United Kingdom’s prime minister.

Her resignation comes after a whirlwind 45 days in office, which saw the country’s markets crash, the loss of two key ministers, and the loss of confidence from almost all Conservative Party MPs.
