From V Chandrasekaran

Although Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob claims he has yet to get his “inspiration” to call for the next general election, many say GE15 is around the corner. Evidently, political leaders from all divides are clamouring to grab voters’ attention on various issues, including the inefficiencies and the inadequacies of the present government.

Citizens are torn apart with various claims and promises by aspiring political parties and leaders. However, informed citizens cannot be taken for a ride anymore. They are aware of the inefficiencies and lackadaisical attitudes of political leaders. It is time they exercise their due diligence and judgement to vote in a corrupt-free and responsible government.

Even former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad, who has lost his welcome, is reported to have said he did not mind becoming the next prime minister. People are sick and tired of age-old policies and promises that politicians often make to woo political support. It is now the right time for a revamp and change.
