PETALING JAYA: Umno is looking for “a way out” from the dilemma facing Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob who is under pressure due to the lacklustre performance of some of his ministers, says party vice-president Khaled Nordin.
He said that he sympathised with Ismail because of the poor performance of his ministers as this will inevitably reflect on Umno which is leading the government.
Khaled added that Umno was bearing the brunt of the people’s anger over the failings of the government.
“It is public knowledge that he inherited several failed ministers from the previous Perikatan Nasional-led (PN) government.
“But who else can he pick to replace them? He did not have much choice from the existing MPs.
