KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has fixed Dec 9 to hear a leave application for judicial review to challenge the attorney-general’s discretion in not prosecuting two Muslim converts for allegedly insulting non-Islamic faiths.
Lawyer T Gunaseelan said Judge Ahmad Kamal Md Shahid scheduled the date during a recent case management.
He said the AG was opposing his clients’ application to get the leave in order for the court to hear the merits of the complaint.
“We will also file an affidavit in reply to the AG who has included the notes of proceedings from a Shah Alam magistrates’ court in this judicial review matter,” he said.
