KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here today allowed MUDA, the party led by Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, to challenge the home minister’s inaction in deciding on its application to be registered as a political party.
Judge Noorin Badaruddin granted leave to MUDA for a judicial review today, after senior federal counsel Ahmad Hanir Hambaly @ Arwi and M Kogilambigai, appearing for the ministry and Registrar of Societies (RoS), respectively, said they were not objecting to the party’s legal challenge.
MUDA was represented by Lim Wei Jiet.
The court fixed June 8 for next case management.
